I like the "Elegant" solution better than the original proposal because the cliff gets worse over time and would be seen by new set collectors.
Example: I hold a full SZN 97 and it is the transition to SZN 101.
SZNs 101, 100, 99, and 98 get 5% boost.
My SZN 97 boost drops from 5% to 0.78% instantly and that set is only 1 year old.

The whole boost and three wallets thing is brilliantly designed, and the curve now will be perfect. But because we are playing on last 4 Szns on a separate preferential basis (for boost and for AL), it introduces this element of ‘when’ in the mix. ‘when’ to optimize for AL, ‘when‘ to get the boost.
