1/ sooner. i want to do a demo piece this year
we are much decentralized than NS (he is doing something more practical/conventional). I had a long chat with him about this a few months ago
2/ it needs to be compelling and I need to secure support in advance for the idea. it won't happen just because it gets to main stage here. everyone is hyper busy and/or in AI psychosis, the number of rich people who are watching main stage is not that many
3/ most important NFT curated art collection in the world IMHO, great to have supported artists, key cultural / memetic base of the network state to come, proved beyond any reasonable doubt that CC0 works
uncle punku I was in the July cohort of Network school when they shut down. I see Balaji figuring out the land part of network state and here we are figuring out the coordination layer fully.
1. when do you think 6529 will have its land? 10 years down the line?
2. What do you think 6529 needs more for funding a $100k, $500k or a $1M card idea? Right now we are averaging 3 Eth and maximum of 8 Eth but projects like Casa Nua also happened but it was directly minted.
3. 6529 has granted 4000 Eth out to artists so far. what thee outcomes do you personally think have been the best so far or maybe more than three too.

I am going to try using the **Announcements** channel more. A few things I would like to share below:
a) I have historically not used it because it violated a bit of my sense of decentralization (why should I have a special place that I can post)
b) That is why we built boosts and tried a variety of other ways to solve it generally
c) I still believe we need to solve it generally, but I also believe our other solutions were not very effective
d) I would come here, not know which of the dozens of waves I am in that I should announce something, not know if I am going to annoy everyone by announcing the same thing in multiple waves, not know if I should also DM people on twitter chats
e) the net effect is that I ended up posting less about what we are doing, even though we are doing more than we ever have done!
f) so I have decided to temporarily be practical and post things that I think people should know here
g) what I would like from you is to let people know that I will be posting here
h) I will try it until the end of October (Halloween) and then we can decide if it was effective or not or if we should try something else
We have informed the Keys and Gates artists that:
a) We are still working on Stream (the new state-of-the-art ERC-721 contract that we will use)
b) We do not want to delay their payments any longer
c) We have collected their payment address
d) the Museum multi-sig holders which are @[6529er] @[maybe] @[HugoFaz] @[itsjpower] and me will execute the payments
e) we trust them that they will mint when the time comes
f) the Stream contract has a lot of "museum-grade" provenance information built in so in the coming days we will share with them all the additional information that the contract will store so that can pull it together before mint
g) I am very excited about Stream, will share more soon-ish

I am VERY supportive of accepting this gift and also I would like to lodge a question on the proposal.
... for some reason I can't see the whole drop on laptap but on the mobile app there is a clear discrepancy between the proposal and the terms:
1. The proposal highlights the tensions with Salgado's work between beauty, romance, suffering and grandeur. The "response to the countercase" states "Tokens 2216 and 4697 should be displayed with exact community context and with scholarship that treats the Marubo and Yawanawa as contemporary political communities"
2. The proposed gift terms, however, SPECIFICALLY carry "no permanent-display ... naming ... restriction"
I assume this is meant to imply that accepting the gift does not oblige the Museum to keep these on permanent display or to name them a certain way.
My question is whether the donor, if in fact they believe that context is essential to the works, should insist on some display conventions IF the pieces are displayed, beyond "keeping all six together"?
Or whether we are satisfied that that clause is more directed to the donor relinquishing rights over the collection and doesn't imply that the Museum will display them without due context.
