@[punk6529] important question, when we get to nodes and we click on 'run' button, can we have video of @[HugoFaz]'s run while we wait?
-
this made my day :slightly_smiling_face: gmeme from rainy Amsterdam

We should rememe that video again for MOV community wave drop 😂😂

$6529 tokenomics so far Already described - What it's for: $6529 is the gas (fee) token for 6529's own chain, which punk calls a "special purpose narrow decision chain" (not an Ethereum-style chain). Decisions worth paying for get recorded on-chain and can then be passed across to Ethereum and other chains. Low-stakes votes like "where to go to dinner Friday" are signed and shared between machines, and never hit the chain or cost a fee. - Name: punk said he'll "presumptively" go with $6529 because building a second brand is too hard. - How it's issued: new tokens go to validators, Bitcoin-style. A block comes every 12 seconds and validators vote every 96 seconds. Each day's rewards are split into two pools: a. Block rewards, a lottery: every block, one proposer is drawn weighted by TDH. That's 7,200 draws a day, so your luck evens out within days rather than the years a small Bitcoin miner waits. b. Voting rewards, shared out: 900 rounds a day, each round's pool split by TDH among everyone who voted. - Net effect: holding 0.1% of the online TDH earns about 0.1% of all rewards while you're online. Running more machines earns the same and costs more. - What sets your share: TDH only. Hardware and staked capital don't count, unlike the 32 ETH needed to solo-validate Ethereum. - Your share shrinks over time: total TDH keeps growing as people hold and mint, so your percentage falls unless you keep collecting. Community members said wider minting dilutes the whales. - Treasury stance: 6529 Research (big TDH, owned by no one) is meant to be the "anchor validator". TDH holders vote on what to do with its rewards. Punk wants operating costs paid from the existing ETH budget rather than by selling the token, and cited the bad reaction whenever the Ethereum Foundation sells ETH. - Timing: v1 (November alpha) has no token and no transactions; it only signs TDH once a day. The token comes in a later version, with a white paper promised "this year". Not announced yet - Total supply, the emission or halving schedule, and any pre-allocation. People asked directly; punk deferred, and said he isn't convinced copying Bitcoin's 21M cap has helped Bittensor (TAO). - How the network stays secure long term once rewards shrink. He flagged "but how do you have security in 2126" as something he needs an answer for. - Exactly what counts as a fee-paying transaction, and who pays. Context: punk is deliberately saying nothing publicly, citing securities-law caution ("for now we sell pieces of art"). Some of the descriptions above come from community regulars such as david, not punk, so treat them as informed but not official.

time to use this meme

sort of Argentina (me), Chile/Uruguay/Peru/Mexico, Japan/Korea/Singapore, Ghana/South Africa, and Iceland!
-
Out of joking, i can found all of them, and more than one. But is not how this should work. It needs to grow organically, they need to be here in this wave or at least in 6529 already, if not it will not work properly
-
-
just in time for this use-case of founding hardware . i need 4 more artists now xD https://6529.io/waves/da16201a-f4d0-40cf-b888-9f3a4a86a894?serialNo=1558758
-
I thought the idea was to decide after the network is set locations that are not covered, etc. Why would you need 4 artists more here if not clear who should or would need to be supported yet?
-
Well, the truth is that I probably wouldn’t have the support of those who are proposing that: which essentially is to waite (wich is wise like 99% of the times). I don’t like waiting tho, when the necessary hardware has already been outlined by Punk himself; in other words, I might be able to move faster than the general consensus. But then again, I’m just exploring the possibilities here, this news fits well here, perhaps it’s not even necessary to do so.

@[prxt0] did a great job there

Check out, this is for me one of the best artists website I have seen so far 👏👏

(hehe not sure if that is going to work, but know it responded to questions directly from punk6529 before)
-
If the requirements check out which I think they do based on what 6529 gave us I'm planning to cover Tunisia on top of France with a similar setup

for hardware newbies, does something like this seem like it would do the trick for a while? P6 Mini PC with AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, 24GB RAM 1TB PCle SSD ?
-
I hope so, I just bought this on purpose to turn it into a server
-
@[punk6529bot] based on what punk6529 has said in this wave, does this look sufficient?

You can visit thememes.exchange to see TDH rate per card in a table - or you can see TDH per card on 6529.io next to each card

Thx Articulate.

And I also have a question about the Memes/TDH. Is it correct that for holding some Memes I get more TDH than for holding others? Where can I find more info about this? Very excited to be part of this 🔥
-
That’s true! You earn more TDH for holding rare editions
-
-
Gm folks. I just worry I don't got enough Memes/TDH :slightly_smiling_face: Might need to add some more.
-
GM, I've got the setup ready! An older but still relatively good laptop with an Intel Core i7-8565U, 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD, and 32 GB DDR4 RAM ⚒️
-
also if you need more space you can probably add and external ssd using usb right? the usb port will be the bottle neck but should work fine. I'm searching for that old notebook that will do the job too
-
-
Just noticed the storage - Id be down to acceptable on both as have 1TB on each. What's the storage for ?
-
check dms @[vesper]

FWIW - I think the computational power need to run the network is limited. Normal PC is fine. I think the hard drive capacity is likely more important for the "great" set up to download the entire ETH blockchain and 6529 blockchain long term (if doing great set up). Just need to keep the computer constantly on and connected to the internet.

If possible

I would like to run a validator from Portugal.

Gn 🤍 I come here every day and read the messages, feeling really bullish about what Punk6529 and the team are working on. 🙏🏻

How about you?

Makes sense. I’m curious to see what usecases everyone here is thinking of
-
punk will be the one to have most of the initial thoughts here but once the design is clearer there will be a plethora of possibilities is my expectation
-
will wait for this to start dreaming from now on just bullish waiting for the moment

-
you could prob have a KYC network sign a zk proof for you and use that as a secondary layer on top of 6529
-
we are a pseudonymous network
-
Let’s say we are to survey mobile phone usage by age range. Zk proofs work but all nodes should reveal age behind the zk wall. age, gender .. system should be resilient enough to support a future parameter that nodes have not disclosed yet (probably doable via incentives?) Thinking out loud.
-
you could layer on external data into 6529 but we will never ask for things like age, etc
-
-
not sure what you are thinking but lots of things can be done here
-
sup
-
I was thinking zk as well. But there are so many possible flavors of boundaries (geo/gender/age/…) that it may feel intrusive for participants even from behind the isolated zk layer. Again, maybe i’m thinking of much bigger usecases here. trying to scope it out in my head haha
-
if yuo're just relying on ip or something not sure it would work
-
you could send physical postcards with a code behind a zero knowledge proof set up
-
is using something like what the next door app does
