Need to go for today. EOD: I ditched the materialisation plan for now in favour of tuning the non-materialised Redis access. I haven't yet proven that this is a better choice than materialisation, but I am 80% sure that this is the way to go for now. I'll do more testing during weekend and on monday and write more thoroughly about my reasoning then.
-
@[ragne] gm! I'm trying to upload to EMMA a new animation and it doesn't open a pop up to upload from my device.
-
gm Continued with eligibility yesterday. Started bootstrapping the materialisation in staging. This brought out a real problem. The materialisation took about 7 hours. This is staging with ~50k profiles. In production there are over 1M profiles. This means that it would take weeks to materialise. And its not only materialisation. Every midnight theres a full TDH recalculation which would invoke a rematerialisation just as heavy. So to sum up this doesn't work. I need to take a moment to think about it and strategise with Astra what are even the options here. Thats my todays plan.
-
gm. first checking the performance of some pages
-
gmgm we had a massive power cut yesterday for like 6 hours didnt get much work done :slightly_frowning_face: continuing today
-
gm. keep going with release bus. I am pretty far, maybe can do some real tests today. we will see

astra burning tokens like there’s no tomorrow

gm. continuing with last stretch of materialisation
-
gm, i keep going with release bus. I start to get somewhere. lets see. also i did get claude subscription yesterday as i am out of codex. first feeling: its way worse than codex. it does make things up way more. You have to be so much more hands on.

**EOD** Improved Curation with clearer drag controls, stable layouts, reliable ordering, and safer permissions. Fixed the mobile artist picker and improved image posting with AVIF support, clearer upload feedback, and better text visibility. Also polished responsive Network and Wave controls. **WIP:** Improving Artwork Documentation saving and recovery, then reproducing the reported Keys and Gates image-upload issue on staging.
-
**EOD draft — 16 September, as of 17:30 EEST** **In progress** - **Frontend:** Traced an intermittent double image paste in Chrome, fixed it, added regression tests, and merged the change. The production deploy and production checks are still running. - **Release Coordinator:** Merged and tested the sandbox release flow, including stopping after a failed staging check, restoring staging, and handling one database-changing ticket. This does not yet release the real products. - **Release Coordinator:** Added local recovery for a failed sandbox production step. It still needs a live sandbox test and a PR.
-
**EOD — 16 September** **Deployed** - Eligibility milestones 2–5 deployed to production: database support, an evaluator, a worker and a dispatcher. These lay the groundwork for reliable membership updates. Processing remains off, so existing eligibility checks still serve users. - Deployed the compatible API to fix release notifications; all four automated release-note batches published. **In progress** - Started milestones 6–7 to connect data changes to membership refreshes and add a guarded read path. Focused local tests pass; this work has no PR or deployment yet. I will leave the agent running for it, lets see how far it gets. **Investigated** - Reviewed RegularDad PRs #1922 (vote resets), #2018 (community-app login) and #2089 (wave-to-DM alerts). Found blockers in the first two and questioned the need and sender behavior of the third. **Next** - Finish milestones 6–7 and their rollout. Complete the deferred live runtime drill (#2090) before enabling the new processing in production.
