the museum is the NFTs and the accession/governance infrastructure all which is 100% public and transparent
there is no 'front-door' of the museum
even simple things
we can grown at a network pace once we get rolling
will be very different
and because we are open, we are transparent
it is two things (alignment/judgment which is TDH) and then the workm putting in the work which is the bots
we can do it
will look at what we are doing and say "yup, this is at our standard"
then we should do something where someone who runs a major digital art museum
if we are building a decision network that can operate in the real world by real world standards
which is why my position was we should not put any of our NFTs, memes, rememers etc into the network museum at this stage
read to outsider as weird NFT stuff
for better or for worse, The Memes, while extraordinarily impressive
and I think this is going to read very well to people outside our world
not an NFT wallet with some commentary
our goal should be to make the best museum of its generation
as always, people think I am speaking figuratively and I am speaking literally
and we have not yet reached my ceiling
discussed in team call this week and @[BatSoupYum] and others agree
i think the overall level of rigor we are going for is higher than anything I have seen in NFT space
it is really impressive.. like as nice as anything i have seen in the space with writeups and presentation
maybe next week, end of next week
not yet, I want to get everything 100% polished how I want it and the surprise him
he even said dumb question but has any one reached out to Casey to show him how great this is
here it took me a non-trivial amount of hours but it brings it within the scope of "doable'
it is impossible
I can't drop everything and spend 3 months managing a process of scholarship in 7 Casey Reas pieces
would have made it practically impossible
but it would have been a) a pretty big team, b) not easy to recruit and c) just the coordination and management meetings needed to get in the end what I had in my head
not because it is literally impossible, of course you could have pulled together a team of humans to find museum ontologies and research generative art and make version control policies for the repos and code new visualizers
but the actual execution would have been effectively impossible a year ago
the "will", the "drive", the "is this the standard I want", the "is this aesthetically what i want", "is this conceptually for the museum what I want" was 100% me, no bot could replace me for this. They don't really have internal drive as we know it at this stage
in this light
I would like you to think about the Cssey Reas gift and the later the Magnum gift (I will do the full scholarship if it is approved)
they get the opportunity to "cross walk" across ontologies? man, you have made their day!
it is not unreasonable to ask of bots
this is totally unreasonable to ask of humans
answer: "let's see if we can use all of them"
there are 11
which museum ontology should we use?
the ontology standard I am proposing
it is actually full blown freshly built visualizers of the collections
it is not just "a profile of casey"
i do not know if you had a chance to go through the work done for the scholarship on the casey reas donation
when you get a chance, I would love for you to read my storms on the 6529 Network Museum and then the pages they point to and share your feedback.
GN soon then, my friend! 😄🫂
maybe we have to see - i want to get first all the scaffolding in place first and we will learn by doing.
for sure it is the case that we can build AI assisted tooling - there is absolutely no way that any community member was going to build better visualizers than I think even Art Blocks has for the Casey collections in exchange for rep, but my AI bot did in exchange for money and as price/performance of inference improves, this will become affordable for many.
A big issue in governance is decision fatigue and contribution fatigue. It is why Deamon-like and Singularity-series right AI agents need to be taking on a large part of the work and so I kindof see the future as your TDH allowing you to express your believes but a lot of the tactical work will be done by bots, who, in any case will be better at working in a governed, versioned, etc, etc manner than humans as they are more accurate and love things like this
great work sir @[punk6529]... voted at 6,529,000 for now but happy to vote more.. not sure the protocol with this.. also it is something that i am sure many people will miss.. so it is interesting to think about how to have people see potential important TDH use cases
anyway I will ask it to chat with you about this topic
is quite a lot of routing and defenses
the minimum standard needed to have a fully addressable colleague here
